Amazing news coming from our home town of Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was reported yesterday by several news outlets that 7 anonymous donors have pledged provide college scholarships to all graduates of the Kalamazoo Public School system. That's right ALL graduates. A report released, jointly by EarthLink and Webroot indicates that up to a third of internet-connected computers may be running "spyware" software. Spyware is software that runs in the background on a users PC and records information about their internet surfing habits and transmits it to a third-party. A new study released by The Pew Internet and American Life Project found that of the 63% of americans that use the internet 1 in 6 had used wireless internet access. The demographic segment that had the greatest penetration for wireless internet use was the 18 - 27 year old group with 28%.
